NA and AA Chat - WOW I love the members here! I hear you loud and clear - you love the 12 step recovery chat room BUT you want more features. I am working on it! I am trying to have the chat not require additional log in and also to let people chat and cruise the site at the same time. Just know - I appreciate your feedback! Hopefuly I can send out a blast next week with the adjustments!
I have a dear friend who is moving to Dubai who asked for a private chat room to have her AA and NA friends meet. I also had a request for a fellowship member who is deployed in Iraq to have a private meeting. Finally, I had a member ask for a chat room for those who speak Spanish. So...these features are working and I am going to explain how all these things can be done now. I will e-mail everyone once the update is here but right now today you can e-mail your friends to meet you in the chat room. They have to be members - you all know that is free. Once you are a member click on the 12 step chat room and create a private room. So... plan a date and time, e-mail your friends, then choose a private chat room name that only your group knows, log in and have an aa or na meeting - or just private chat. It is important that you choose the name ahead of time because that is how people know what to type in. Lastly, we will begin to schedule meetings but we need to finish out the upgrade.
Thanks again for all your feedback and help! Have an awesome day! Ann P.
Well it is here - you asked to be able to talk to anyone in need of help or just to check in during the day. We can proudly say anyone in Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous or any 12 step fellowship we wants to connect - free - can in this chat room. We do require membership to the site so we can monitor if inappropriate chat occurs. We need the 12 step recovery community to help keep people on track. It is hard to have an online presence and stay anonymous but we would appreciate if you will try. Members sometimes put their full name as their user name and we do not stop this but we do gently remind you that tradition 12 states "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities."
So please spread the word - tell your friends and watch for the person who might need to just touch base. It is a good day to be clean! Ann P.
