Using dreams can be vivid and frightening, making us feel like we’ve relapsed. These dreams remind us of the insanity of active addiction and the importance of staying vigilant in our recovery.
After experiencing a using dream, it’s crucial to examine our current state. Are we close to using today? How strong is our program? Are we maintaining strong relationships with our sponsor, home group, and Higher Power?
Using dreams don’t necessarily indicate a hole in our program. They can be seen as gifts from our Higher Power, reminding us of the need to strengthen our recovery.
Just for today: I will examine my personal program. I will talk with my sponsor about what I find and seek ways to strengthen my recovery.
